Bill Erwin Dies

Bill Erwin, a theater and film actor, whose work took half a century, but was nominated for his time Emmy as grumpy old man known in Seinfeld, died on 96th

    Erwin died on 29 December, the age-related causes in his Studio City, California home, not far from production wherever Seinfeldwas stroke, said his son, the Los Angeles Times.

    Erwin had a long career in film, theater and television in particular among dozens of roles on such series as Gunsmoke, Twilight Zone, Perry Mason, The Golden Girls, growing pains, which is the Boss? and My Name Is Earl.

    But his role as Sid Fields in the 1993 Seinfeld episode "The Old Man" won him praise from the majority with an Emmy nomination.

    Erwin was also for his role as Captain Arthur in the 1980 fantasy film recalls "Somewhere in Time, and often returns to the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Iceland, Michigan, where the film created to celebrate with the fans.

    Born in Texas in 1914, Mr. Erwin at the Pasadena Playhouse studied acting and performed in theater productions in Los Angeles over the decades. He was also a self-taught, his work in the New Yorker published and seen Playboy magazine in Los Angeles.
