Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, marked the beginning of the new year with dazzling fireworks display with over 20,000 residents in Serangoon last Friday night.
It was at a party organized by the citizens advisory committee Serangoon countdown.
Was nicknamed "Serangoon Swing 2011" to arouse a start at 6:00 clock, Line Dance, bouncy castles and a foam party on deck.
Circus Serangoon Gardens was packed as thousands thronged the stadium built for the local media artists like Jeanette Aw Rui and implemented.
As midnight approached, Mr. Lee joined the artists and celebrities on stage to celebrate the new year by their own wishes for Singapore.
"We had a very good year in 2010, " he said. "We will work together to scale new heights and to renew, and even better than Mexico in 2011."
