Gossip Girl Season 5

Blair ended up on the rooftop with Russell Thorpe, who was angry about what happened between his wife Avery and Chuck's father many years ago. We find out he was planning to burn down the building, just like what happened with Avery and Bart Bass, but once again Chuck swoops in to save the day.
The slow motion dance scene was weird, glad that didn't last too long. Obviously it was meant to show how Blair and Chuck could still be together, and poor sad-sap Louis is waiting at his party while Blair and Chuck do it in another room somewhere. Blair realizes once again she is meant to be with Chuck. But is that what Chuck really wants?
Apparently it isn't because he just hands Blair over to Louis once more, even though they just had sex and Blair still wants to be with him. Chuck thinks Blair will be happier without him, but I don't think anyone's meddling days are over. The love triangle will definitely be a storyline in season 5 especially considering the end!
Charlie continued to bring on the crazy, even though I think no one cares about her enough yet to really bother with her storyline, but there you go. She stages a fake suicide stunt so everyone can feel sorry for her, but I bet some of you wished she would have just jumped out that window - go on, I did, don't be ashamed. But then we find out Charlie is really Ivy and she was hired by Serena's aunt to steal all the checkbooks, and Serena's aunt says 'at least now they won't come looking for my daughter' - who's that do you think??
Georgina comes back and makes an appearance just in time for some meddling in everyone's affairs; she at least is entertaining. She was so desperate to be a part of what was going on, she would do anything.
We also find out Dan has been writing a book for the past five years, thanks to Vanessa's snooping ways, and we discover Dan has always wanted to be on the inside of the Upper East Side crowd. Vanessa encourages him to publish the book, and he basically tells her that his life was better before she came back into it. She then of course steals the manuscript, as anyone would do of course, and sells it to a publisher while she pockets the money in Barcelona.
Eric is heading off to Sarah Lawrence next year, and Lily is under house arrest until the fall.
Blair is off to Monaco for the summer, and to prep for the royal wedding - set for November, at least for now. Serena leaves to spend time with her grandmother in the Hamptons and to be 'off the radar'.
Of course, let's not forget!!! It appears Blair is pregnant with Chuck's baby! Of course it could be Serena's pregnancy test in the trash, but seeing as Dorota was cleaning up the room, it lends itself to being Blair's, and that would be much more exciting.
Gossip Girl Season 5 Spoilers - Premiere Episode 1
Gossip Girl has been picked up for season 5, and will be returning in September 2011 - the premiere is usually held in late September - exact date not announced yet, but we'll post when it is.
Both Taylor Momsen, and Jessica Szohr will not be returning as series regulars in season 5 - only as guest stars on occasional episodes (not really a surprise I guess).
Kaylee DeFer, aka Charlie Rhodes aka IVY has been promoted to series regular so she will be back in a big way, no doubt causing trouble for everyone and getting in cahoots with Georgina.
Georgina will continue to bring the unnecessary drama, but it should shake things up a bit.
Dan's book will be published and will stir up a whole hornet's nest of trouble, yay!
Serena's new guy (Ethan Peck as Patrick) will also be back in season 5, and she'll hopefully have a normal romance and not a crazy one like the past five or six she's had. Looks like she will also have a new career on her hands.
Of course, the biggest news - a baby could soon be part of episode 5, is it Chuck's or Louis'? What do you think?
