Chevy Volt

While sales of the Chevy Volt may be simmering at a rather modest level, General Motors has reportedthat the presence of the hybrid vehicle itself is enticing large numbers of potential customers into showrooms across the United States. Demonstration units of the Volt are proving highly popular attractions for admirers keen to view, evaluate and indeed test-drive the hybrid with long-range capacity.
In total, GM has indicated that up to 90% of all customers trading in their vehicles in order to part exchange are new to the Chevrolet brand. As such, the manufacturer has earmarked hundred of Volts which were initially due for sale to be utilised as demonstration models. While such may not instantly benefit Chevy Volt sales per se, it is hoped that the increased exposure will bring in more consumers and allow them to view products they may otherwise not have seen.
Dealerships across the country are seeing customer arriving in droves who currently own models produced by competing brands, many of whom have never set foot inside a Chevy dealershippreviously. Increasing numbers are leaving with the Chevrolet brand firmly in mind with regard to future vehicle purchases, which is something largely credited to highly-acclaimed Volt.
It is now the intention of GM to feature demonstration models of the Volt in over 2,500 dealerships by the end of the year, alongside the plan to deliver the Volt to all 50 states within the same timeframe.
